The Twitter layoffs that have been anticipated for the past week have officially started.
Twitter employees have been advised to stay at home while Elon Musk updates the microblogging network. While they wait to find out if they still have jobs, all Twitter offices have been closed, their doors are secured, and access to the company's internal systems has been disabled.
The workers are anticipating an email. A notification on their personal email is essentially a sign that they have been sacked from their position, whereas an email on their work account indicates that they are still workers.

3700 employees at Twitter are anticipated to lose their jobs, according to estimates. Of course, the workers have responded to the closure on the social media site itself. The hashtag #oneteam has been used often in tweets, both to express gratitude for their employment and to air complaints.
This is, of course, the type of tweet that many Twitter employees are posting. On Thursday, the employees were informed of the details of the mass layoffs, and several had already filed a complaint against the business.
They assert that the 60-day notice period mandated by federal law in the United States and California was not provided to them.
